The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd edition of the tournament, scheduled for June 11 to July 19, 2026. It will be jointly hosted by 16 cities across three countries—the United States, Mexico and Canada—marking the first time the tournament is held in three nations. The event will feature 48 teams, expanded from the previous 32-team format.

Host nations Canada, Mexico and the United States have qualified automatically. Cape Verde, Curacao, Jordan and Uzbekistan are set to make their World Cup debuts. Argentina enters as defending champion, having won its third title at the 2022 tournament in Qatar.
