After record U.S. IPO issuance from Chinese companies in 2014, activity has gone on reverse in 2015, with 33 companies announcing they wanted to delist from the United States. If completed, the going private deals would be worth a record $40 billion. Those buyout offers typically come at a premium to the companies' stock price over a recent trading period, but many bids can be at steep discounts to the stocks' 52 week-high prices.
