Indonesia Elections
Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has been officially declared the winner of the July 9 presidential race by the Elections Commision on Tuesday. Jokowi beat ex-general Prabowo Subianto by 6 percentage points, the closest ever in Indonesian history.
Population, by province
Central Java, East Java and West Java, the three most populous provinces in the world's third largest democracy, are key battlegrounds in this election. In particular, West Java represents around 20 percent of the national vote and is home to some of the country's most conservative Muslim groups.

More than 14 percent of the population in East Java — a key battleground in this election — live in poverty.
